What to expect:
*Plank Island always offers scholarships for all workshops. It is very important to us that ALL children can experience the magic and creative possibilities that the theatre arts can offer. We make efforts to ensure that cost does not prohibit any child interested.
***Safety is important to us. All staff are trained in theatrical safety on site and have had background checks through WA state. All participants will need parental permission. And parents can choose to sign a photo release or choose not to.

Meet one of our teachers:
Blaire Smith
Blaire Smith is honored to work with Plank Island Theatre Company. Although she calls Seattle home, she has shared her love of theatre on stages all over the world. She enjoys all aspects of theatre. Starting her theatrical journey at a young age, she has acted, directed, stage managed, choreographed and designed on stages both large and small. Her most recent credits include works with Ancient Lake Theatre Festival, Village Theatre KIDSTAGE, Plank Island Theatre (Writing Wrongs) and Missoula Children's Theatre, where she acted and directed in 49 states and 12 different countries. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University, and believes theatre and creative storytelling have the power to unite and empower all people. She is an advocate for the arts and arts education and is excited to be a part of theatre in Grays Harbor.
